About Chris

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #132855

I am a Bay Area native and have witnessed how much things have sped up here in recent years. I arrived to the decision to pursue a profession in therapy after 12 years of teaching elementary school. After earning my B.A. at Colorado College, I taught in Aurora, Colorado, and then in the San Francisco Bay Area. As a teacher, I quickly realized that the emotional health and home lives of my students were impossible to separate from the classroom. I went back to school for an M.A. in Counseling Psychology to learn more about supporting children and parents with more focus and attention.

I received my M.A in Counseling Psychology from The Wright Institute, and worked as a school counselor during the second year of the program with school-age children and adolescents. I feel great compassion for children and their families throughout the journey of school. I am willing and ready to connect with teachers to make accommodations in the classroom, and to develop a more complete understanding of your child.

I also work with individual adults of all ages on relationship and occupational issues, parenting challenges, transitional life stages, anxiety, and depression.

I look forward to hearing from you!
